CHEM 132 - General College Chemistry I

Credits: 3 hours
A foundation course forming the basis of the other more specialized chemistry courses. Fundamental principles and theories of chemistry, chemical calculations, and the properties of the more important elements are stressed. Three lectures per week.
Prerequisite(s): ACT Math score of ≥ 23. If ACT Math score is < 23, students are required to take MATH 132 (passing with at least a C grade). This course will also partially satisfy a requirement of Section III of the General Education Curriculum. If students do not have at least one year of high school chemistry, students are strongly encouraged to take CHEM 131 & CHEM 110.
