Credit(s): 3 hours
This course is a study of various theories and models of professional leadership and advocacy. Students will utilize the knowledge gained to design and implement a structured, criterion–focused advocacy plan addressing a current, topical, political issue effecting professional counselors and the clients they serve. Implementation of the plan will require direct advocacy through face-to-face contact with legislative representatives on behalf of the profession and related stakeholders.
