Program Mission/Vision
The School of Computer and Information Sciences strives for excellence in creating, applying, and imparting knowledge in information technology through comprehensive educational programs, research in collaboration with industry and government, dissemination through scholarly publications, and service to professional societies, the community, the state, and the nation.
Program Goals
- To prepare information technologists with the knowledge to properly secure facilities, equipment and software.
- To prepare information technologists with the knowledge to create and implement a plan to provide for disaster prevention and recovery.
- To prepare information technologists with the proper techniques for implementing security plans that ensures compliance with various laws and identifying and investigating breaches in compliance.
- To prepare information technologists to address specific needs and challenges in the field of Information Security.

ProgramsMaster of Science
The Master of Science (M.S.) degree is designed to accommodate both preprofessional students who wish to further their education and those already working in professional careers who aim to advance within their respective organization or agency. The M.S. develops individuals to be leaders in their fields of study.
Doctor of Philosophy
The Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) prepares students for advanced professional practice directed toward research as well as the transmission of existing knowledge.
