Program Description
The Graduate Certificate in Non-Profit Management is designed to equip students with practical knowledge in the management and administration of non-profit organizations. The curriculum provides the foundation to apply theories, methodologies and practices to the management of non-profit organizations. The program will provide students with the skills, capabilities, knowledge and tools needed to serve in managerial and supervisory roles within non-profits.
Learning Outcomes:
- Graduates will understand organizational aspects related to non-profit management and best practices in leading non-profit organizations.
- Students will explore issues leaders face while managing non-profit organizations, board governance, grant writing, fundraising, managing employees and volunteers, and marketing strategies.
- Graduates will develop skills to engage in research, write persuasive and informative business documents, and create and deliver effective presentations.
- Students will learn the effective management of human resources through in- depth research and analysis of the interrelationship of the human resource function in organizations.
- Students will acquire in-depth knowledge and practical skills in the accounting and financial reporting procedures for governmental and not-for-profit entities.
