IECE 132 - Child Development and Learning I Credit: 3 hours This course explores historical and current scientific research and theory related to human development from conception through middle childhood. Emphasis is given to biological, psychological, and socio-cultural influences on the development of children and practical applications that candidates can relate to their personal and professional lives. The complex interchanges between heredity and environment are explored. The theories of Bandura, Freud, Piaget, and Erikson are a focus. Field Experience hours required.
