IECE 233 - Introduction to Early Childhood Special Education


Credit: 3 hours
This course, required of all candidates pursuing admission to the university’s Bachelor of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Early Childhood Education, is an overview of young learners with exceptionalities. It serves as gateway course for admission to Teacher Education. Emphasis is on characteristics analysis, understanding, identification, and prioritization of educational practices, learning environments, instruction strategies and accommodations for young learners with special needs. Field Experience hours required.
