IECE 330 - Teaching Diverse Learners


Credit: 3 hours
This course is a study of the elements of diversity that affect educational outcomes for young children. Elements of diversity explored include race, gender, and cultural background including geographical location, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, language, religion, and exceptionality. Legal issues including existing federal and state regulations and civil rights legislation are explored. Field Experience hours required.
Prerequisite(s): Formal Admission to Teacher Education. The focus is on accommodation of the needs of diverse students.
