ITAD 433 - Machine & Deep Learning

Credit: 3 hours
Students will learn how Machine Learning uses Artificial Intelligence algorithms to create expert systems that can predict or classify information based on input data. Students will examine how Artificial Neural Networks attempt to replicate the functions of the human brain to analyze, learn and create solutions and make decisions. Students will explore the ethical implications of the use of Machine Learning as it replaces human problem solving and decision making. Students will learn how Deep Learning is an extension of Machine Learning and generates deep neural networks to process input data, generate solutions and then refine those solutions to produce an optimal solution. Students will examine the use of large datasets needed to examine and resolve extremely complex problems, without the need for human interaction.
Prerequisite(s): ITAI 331, ITSS 131 , MATH 335
