ITAI 335 - Integration of Augmented Reality & Artificial Intelligence

Credit: 3 hours
Students will learn how Artificial Intelligence is integrated within Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality. Students will also learn how the Internet of Things is associated with Augmented Reality. Students will also examine the social, ethical and security concerns of Artificial Intelligence driven Augmented Reality. Students will learn how systems learn from data and improve with Augmented Reality experience to include topics on supervised learning and predictive modeling: unsupervised learning and clustering; decision trees, rule induction, nearest neighbors, Bayesian methods, neural networks, support vector machines, and model ensembles. Students are introduced to image analysis and interpreting the 3D world from image data. Topics may include segmentation, motion estimation, image mosaics, 3D-shape reconstruction, object recognition, and image retrieval.
Prerequisite(s): ITAI 331, ITSS 131 , MATH 335
