NURS 125 - Dosage Calculation II


Credit: 1 hour
This course emphasizes critical thinking techniques to effectively, accurately, and safely calculate dosages of medications. Content includes abbreviations, symbols, and the systems of measurement used in medication administration. It includes reading, interpreting, and solving calculation problems encountered in the preparation of medication for administration intravenous routes. Students will learn to titrate intravenous medications based upon patient response, patient weight, and changes to medication orders. This course is two theory/lecture hours per week for 8 weeks.
