CES 733 - Ethical and Legal Issues in Counselor Education and Supervision

This course examines the evolving ethical responsibilities of professional counselors in education, supervision, leadership, and advocacy. Emphasis is placed on cultivating inclusive and culturally sustaining approaches to counselor education and supervision. Students will examine complex issues such as gatekeeping, mentoring, and ethical decision-making across various program delivery types. The course also addresses the broader impact of counselor leadership within communities, institutions, and the counseling profession.
