Purpose Statement

The purpose of University of the Cumberlands Allied Health Program is to provide students with an understanding of allied health concepts and to integrate them into basic practice.

Program Goals

1. Integrate knowledge from behavioral and medical sciences as a basis for allied health practice.
2. Advocate for patients and families in ways that promote growth as diverse human beings.
3. Demonstrate administration skills and management processes within the interdisciplinary health care field.
4. Reflect attributes such as integrity, responsibility, commitment to evidence-based practice, caring attitude, and provision of safe, quality care for patients of diverse populations.
