BIOL 448 - General Ecology Credit: 4 hours Relationships of organisms to their environment. Topics will include the relationships of the physical environment, including climate, to animal and plant distribution; energy relationships; the niche concept; physiological ecology; community and population structure; succession; interactions of populations and maintenance of population size; and biogeography. Prerequisite(s): BIOL 113 , BIOL 114 , BIOL 133 , BIOL 134 , BIOL 246 , MATH 132 or higher. Three lecture and three laboratory hours per week Offered: fall semester
