IECE 434 - Advanced Assessment in Early Childhood


Credit: 3 hours
This course provides candidates with the knowledge and tools to assess early childhood learners, birth- kindergarten, in the areas of emotional/social, language, physical, and cognitive development. Candidates will also assess approaches to learning in young children by observing and documenting children’s curiosity, excitement, and ways of learning for the purpose of planning and delivering instruction. This class is taken with IECE 431  and IECE 436  the semester before student teaching. Field Experience hours required.
Prerequisite(s): Formal Admission to Teacher Education
