BIOL 132 - Introduction to Biology


Credits: 3 hours
This course is intended for students who plan to be biology majors, but who have a limited background in biology and related sciences. It may not be used to satisfy hours for the biology major or minor but will satisfy 3 of the required 4 hours of Scientific Reasoning General Education coursework. Introduction to Biology focuses on key concepts in Biology including the Scientific method and data analysis, Chemistry, Genetics, Evolution, Diversity of Life, and Ecology. Three lecture hours per week.
Prerequisite(s): One year of high school biology and a Math ACT greater than or equal to 20 or completion of MATH 131  (passing with at least a B grade) or higher Math course
