COMM 402 - Religion and Film

This course, taught in tandem with RELG 402, examines the relationship between American religious culture and American film culture during the twentieth century. Specific attention is focused on: 1) the ways in which America’s religious thought and traditions have influenced the form and function of film and 2) the ways in which America’s film culture has reflected and/ or challenged our dominant religious beliefs and values.
