COMM 430 - Professional Communication Credits: 3 hours In this course, students advance necessary communication skills for success in the workplace. Topics include: personal branding, resume and cover letter development, interviewing skills, workplace behavior and conflict, networking, and career and leadership development. The culmination of this course is a paper/portfolio project and public presentation demonstrating their expertise. Each student will work closely with a department faculty mentor who specializes in the student’s chosen subject related to their coursework. Students must present their work before an audience of the Communication and Theatre Arts faculty. This presentation serves as the exiting examination for the department. Offered: in the second bi-term.
