CRJS 235 - Police Patrol

Police patrol divisions are considered to be the backbone of any police department. This course will focus upon the goals, objectives, and implementation of strategies to effectively patrol and investigate crimes. There will be an emphasis on police patrol functions under the philosophies of police professionalism, problem-oriented policing, and community policing. In addition, the responsibilities of the first responder are also addressed regarding emergency situations, patrol procedures, criminal investigations, traffic enforcement and accident reconstruction.
