CRJS 334 - Society and Criminal Law


Credits: 3 hours
This course provides a study of substantive criminal law and procedure, the federal and state court systems, and the United States Supreme Court case law, with special emphasis upon the Fourth, Fifth, Sixth, Eighth, and Fourteenth Amendments to the U.S. Constitution. The relationship between participants in the criminal justice system (law enforcement, lawyers, judges, and accused defendants) with the rest of society is also examined. The course content will highlight practical, “real world” aspects within the above course curricula.
