EDUC 430 - Classroom Management & Behavior Credits: 3 hours This course focuses on effective, proactive classroom discipline and management strategies in the elementary classroom. Additional significant course topics include constructing and analyzing student assessments, crafting higher order thinking experiences, developing appropriate professional dispositions and creating differentiated instructional strategies. The InTASC and University Teacher Standards, Kentucky Framework for Teaching (KFfT), Kentucky Academic Standards (KAS), and Unbridled Learning are an integral part of the course content. This class is taken with EDUC 331 the semester before student teaching. Thirty hours of field experience are required. Prerequisite(s): Formal admission to Teacher Education program Offered: fall and spring semesters
