ENGL 432 - Studies in Modern Literature Credits: 3 hours This course examines a varied combination of English, American, and world literature of the twentieth century. The specific focus will change from year to year. A given course may be organized according to genre (fiction, poetry, or drama), topic (e.g., the Southern Renaissance, expatriate literature of the 1920’s ,or the Irish Literary Revival), or representative and related authors (such as “Joyce, Yeats, Eliot” or “Williams, Miller, O’Neill”). English majors or minors may take this course twice on different topics. Prerequisite(s): ENGL 131 and ENGL 132 Offered: as needed
