POLS 431 - Internship Credits: 3 hours This internship allows political science majors to work part-time in local government offices under the supervision of public officials and their staffs. The public duties performed by the students will be defined by the nature of the particular office to which the students are assigned. In addition, students will meet goals, follow procedures, and adhere to routines that have been established jointly by their office supervisors and by political science faculty. Students are required to complete a minimum of 125 clock hours at the work site. Departmental approval must be obtained one semester prior to being assigned. Prerequisite(s): Junior standing in the political science major and permission of the department chair
