PHYS 332 - Experimental Physics I Credits: 3 hours An intermediate laboratory course providing students with opportunities to conduct experiments both in physics and engineering technology. Physics experiments are selected from mechanics, thermodynamics, electricity, magnetism, optics, and modern physics. Engineering technology experiments include structure testing, materials testing, thermal efficiency, energy conversion, electronics, and robotics. Emphasis is placed on experiment design, error analysis, model evaluation, and professional presentations. Six laboratory hours per week. Prerequisite(s): grades of C or better in PHYS 312 , PHYS 335 , and MATH 430 (may be concurrent) Offered: spring semester
