PHYS 410 - Ethics in Science Credits: 1 hour This seminar course exposes students to the importance of professional ethics in STEM fields especially in light of UC’s commitment to Christian values. Specific topics include the responsible treatment of data, the importance of open and honest communication, proper respect of intellectual property, responsibilities of the peer review system, conflict of interest, ethical misconduct, and the responsibilities to society. Prerequisite(s): Junior or senior with a major or minor in biology, chemistry, mathematics or physics Offered: fall semester
