MSMN 402 - Religion and Film

A study, examining the relationship between American religious culture and American film culture during the twentieth century. Specific attention is focused on: 1) the ways in which America’s religious thought and traditions have influenced the form and function of film and 2) the ways in which America’s film culture has reflected and/or challenged our dominant religious beliefs and values.
