NURS 130 - Mother-Baby Nursing Credits: 2 hours This course utilizes nursing process and clinical judgement in the care of the childbearing family during reproduction, pregnancy, labor, delivery, and postpartum. The normal newborn, newborn at risk, professional responsibilities of the nurse, dignity of the individual, quality enhancement, ethical and legal considerations, patient safety, and cultural considerations are discussed. Students will learn to address needs of the mother, family, and the newborn. Co-requisite(s): NURS 132 - Mother-Baby Nursing Application (1 hour)
