NURS 332 - Pathophysiology


Credits: 3 hours
This course builds upon the foundational knowledge of pathophysiology, emphasizing its application in professional nursing practice. Designed for registered nurses advancing their education, the course explores common disease states across the lifespan, focusing on their etiology, clinical manifestations, and evidence-based treatment strategies. Students will integrate scientific principles to enhance their understanding of alterations in body systems and develop advanced clinical decision-making skills to support health promotion, risk reduction, and disease management. Emphasis is placed on the implications for nursing practice, including patient-centered care, interdisciplinary collaboration, and the role of the BSN-prepared nurse in improving health outcomes.
