UCEN 101 - UC Engage Credits: 0.50 credits UC Engage is a component of our university’s Leadership and Community Service Program and a requirement for graduation. A full description of the program can be found in the Student Handbook.
Enrollment in UC Engage is a graduation requirement for all full-time undergraduate main-campus students with less than senior standing (90 semester hours). Students must enroll in UCEN 101, UC Engage, for every semester of enrollment unless enrolled in Orientation 100.
Students who meet one or more of the following criteria before the 15-week main-campus term begins may be exempt from participating in UC Engage:
Enrolled in Orientation 100
Senior standing (90 semester hours)
Students who are 25 years of age or older and/or have custody of dependents.
Military Veterans or Active Service Members
There are no other exemptions. Credit for UC ENGAGE is Pass (A)/Fail (F). The grade received is factored into the student’s cumulative grade point average. To receive a passing grade, students must attend two UC ENGAGE designated events per semester: one academic event and one community service event. Credit: 0.50 credits. Students are required to register for both the fall and spring semesters.
