STSK 131 - Principles of Academic Success Credits: 1-3 hours These skill-focused courses are designed to strengthen academic performance through an array of activities to bolster a student’s success. These include: goal-setting, time management, critical thinking, research, reading, and writing activities. Each course will allow students to study and write about topics of interest with guidance by a qualified faculty member to increase skills in these subject areas as well as source citation. For each credit earned, the course will culminate in a 5-page, documented paper using the documentation style appropriate to the topic. STSK courses do not meet any General Education requirement or any major, minor, or restrictive elective requirements. With permission or recommendation, more than one STSK course can be completed. Prerequisite(s): None. Variable
