NURS 137 - Introduction to Nurse Aide Skills Credits: 3 hours Introduction to Nurse Aide skills is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills for basic nurse aide care. The basic pillars of the course are: communication and interpersonal skills, infection control, safety and emergency procedures, patient rights, promoting patient independence, and basic nursing skills. Participants will participate in online learning activities.

The nurse aide role is a vital part of the nursing field. Successful completers of the course will be familiar with the provision of patient care in the nurse aide role.
