Major Requirements

Major Requirements: 51 Credit Hours within the content area. An additional 42 Credit Hours of professional education courses are required for students pursuing secondary certification.

Bachelor of Arts students must take 12 credits of the Lower Division General Education requirement in the same World Language.

Exit Exam: ETS

Students must earn a grade of ‘C’ or better in any course counting toward the English major.

Writing or Literature Electives: 6 Credit Hours

Choose two 300- or 400- level courses in Writing or Literature.

Spanish or French Electives: 12 Credit Hours
