Program Goals
- Students will be able to recall and apply their knowledge of core CS concepts and principles, such as programming languages, data structures, algorithms, software engineering, computer architecture, operating systems, databases, and networks.
- Students will comprehend advanced CS ideas, theories, and models, and articulate their significance and limitations in both practical and theoretical contexts.
- Students will learn several methods and tools of computer science, such as programming languages, software development environments, data analysis tools, and computer hardware and software systems, and will conduct research and solve problems.
- Students will be able to use cutting-edge methods in areas like Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Security, Gaming, Data Science and Application Software to create original computer science solutions to difficult problems.

Major Requirements: 49 Credit Hours
Required Core Courses: 34 Credit Hours
Required Math Courses: 6 Credit Hours
Computer Science Electives: 9 Credit Hours
Elective courses must be chosen from 300/400 level courses outside the student’s selected major or emphasis area. Elective courses cannot simultaneously count toward both the major, emphasis, and/or core requirements.
