MSDS 535 - Data Mining

In this course we will introduce the principles of Data Mining and applications and an overview of data warehousing and data mining. Topics include the: data mining concepts and methods, such as association rule mining, classification, and clustering; and the applications of data-mining techniques and its relationship to Big Data. The course is targeted both towards students interested in using the concepts and principles of Data Mining in their own work, as well as students interested in building better applications, tools and systems analyze Big Data.
Prerequisite(s): MSDS 530 and MSDS 531.
