CROL 691 - Life-Course Criminology Credit(s): 3 hours This course provides an exploration of crime and deviance based on the life course theoretical perspective. The theoretical underpinnings, research methodologies, and empirical research of this framework will be studied. Issues to be discussed include: the development of criminal careers, the cessation and evolution of criminal behavior over the life course (specifically trajectories, transitions, and turning points), and qualitative and quantitative research methodologies specific to life course criminology. Also, this course will examine criminal justice policy implications and applications related to life course criminology. Prerequisite(s): None
