COOL 538 - Counseling Individuals with Diverse Needs

This course is designed to help prepare school counselors to provide the collaborative services for individuals with diverse needs in elementary, secondary and post-secondary educational settings. The course includes topics including IDEA, Section 504, learning disabilities, identification of candidates suspected of having a disability, transition planning, working with parents and collaboration with related service specialists.
Five Field/Clinical Experience Hours required.
