ENOL 534 - British Literature Credit(s): 3 hours This course offers an in-depth study of a specific period, author, and/or genre of British literature. The particular focus of the course will change from year to year. Common topics may be Romantic literature and Victorian fiction. Other potential topics could be non-Shakespearean Renaissance drama, Restoration drama, the eighteenth-century novel, the works of John Milton, and Victorian poetry. Students will produce a research paper/project commensurate with the program’s standards for graduate level classes. Offered every fall semester. May be repeated for up to nine hours if topic changes.
