SPOL 530 - Characteristics, Identification, and Instruction of Students with Disabilities


Credit(s): 3 hours
This is a course of directed study designed to explore each federal disability category. Teacher candidates will be exposed to the federal laws and regulations regarding special education as well as the identification process. Additionally teacher candidates will be able to describe current practices including Response to Intervention and research-based, specially designed instruction. This course is a pre-requisite for all other courses in the Special Education program.
