BUAN 677 - Capstone - Business Integrative Analytics


Credit(s): 3 hours
The capstone course provides opportunities to analyze and offer solutions for a multitude of business challenges. The course requires a definition of a problem, an analysis of options, and a comprehensive presentation of findings and solutions. Students will enhance their data analytics skills by applying the advanced quantitative and qualitative skills needed to effectively leverage data to solve business challenges and fuel innovation. Students will also be able to develop real-world analysis, including data collection, analysis, modeling, evaluation, and presentation skills.

 

Learning Outcomes:

 

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to.

 

  • Analyze real-world scenarios utilizing appropriate analytical tools.
  • Utilize data to evaluate and solve business problems to support business decision-making.
  • Develop the ability to formulate and communicate various business strategies that position a firm most favorably in relation to competition to enhance industry attractiveness. 
  • Develop the ability to apply ethical reasoning skills and behavior to ethical issues arising from strategy formulation and implementation in business analytics.
