NURS 520 - Issues in Advanced Practice


Credit(s): 3 hours
In this course students will evaluate how policy shapes healthcare systems, determines accessibility, affordability, and access to care and impacts health outcomes. Students will examine advocacy, professional issues, and the advanced practice role in the improvement of safety and quality delivery of care. Professional issues and the advanced practice role will be addressed. Additional topics will include recognition of how organizational and systems leadership foster promotion of high quality and safe patient care across the lifespan. Pre-Requisite: Admission to the MSN program
