BUPA 661 - Public Enterprise Systems Credit(s): 3 The course is designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively manage and run corporations that are wholly or partially owned or created by government entities. This course delves into the unique challenges and opportunities associated with public enterprises, exploring the intersection of business principles and public administration. The course will explore the similarities and differences between managing a public enterprise versus a governmental agency or private business. Varying case studies will be examined related to transportation, utilities and other public enterprise systems to provide a broad understanding of the nature of managing these hybrid organizations.
