Financial Management- Graduate Certificate

The Graduate Certificate in Financial Management is a twelve (12) credit hour online certificate program designed to equip students with the analytic skills and theoretical knowledge needed for a wide range of professional careers in finance. The program’s rigorous, flexible, and cutting-edge curriculum provides students with the foundational knowledge required to create innovative solutions for financial issues and articulate impactful financial decisions to decision-makers.
Learning Outcomes:
- Students will be able to perform sophisticated financial analyses using the appropriate financial tools, techniques, and technologies pertinent to a wide range of financial issues.
- Students will develop a thorough understanding of the purpose of financial statements and the importance of financial reporting in evaluating a company’s performance in relation to strategic business decision-making and forecasting.
- Students will develop an understanding of the appropriate valuation concepts, techniques, and models used in typical finance and investment practice.
- Students will develop an understanding of the financial planning and wealth management process from the perspective of a practicing financial planner & wealth manager.
- Students will develop an understanding of the processes, methodologies, and tools used to transform a large amount of financial data into useful information to inform business decisions and actions.
The program can serve as a first step to a master’s degree in finance. Graduates of the program will be eligible for admission to the Master of Science in Finance degree program upon completing a master’s admission application and submitting all required documentation.
Admission Requirements:
A minimum undergraduate cumulative GPA of 2.0 is required to be admitted to the Financial Management Certificate Program
