CES 838 - CES Comprehensive Exam

This course provides students with the opportunity to demonstrate mastery of the content learned across multiple domains of the Counselor Education and Supervision curriculum. Each student is required to pass the Department of Counseling doctoral comprehensive examination to be approved to continue with the dissertation course sequence and graduate. Students will take the exam prior to enrolling in CES 736  Dissertation Seminar. This exam will take place over the course of two weeks during the term in which the student enrolls in this course. Students will respond to a series of three prompts. There is one prompt per topic: theory, pedagogy/andragogy, and supervision. Students must achieve a passing score as set by the program to pass this course and proceed with their program of study. Students who do not pass all portions of the exam after a maximum of three attempts will be dismissed from the program.
Prerequisite(s): CES 704 , CES 705 , CES 735 , CES 730 , CES 731 , CES 733 , CES 831 , CES 835 , CES 931
